Al-Caliph FC was founded in November 2006 by a group of family and friends who held regular kickabout sessions in the street soccer court. The team has entered a number of competitions. The team came tops in Sunsports Islandwide Magnificent Sevens and First Runner-up for Sunsports Islandwide League.
For NWSS League Tournament 2008, the team came in 2nd runner-up, a notch better than the previous season’s 4th. Al-Caliph is also proud to the winner of the inaugural Fair Play trophy for the season.
With the excellent organisation and sportmanship among the teams, Al-Caliph will continue to participate in NWSS League Tournament. With a slew of new recruits, the new league will start in Jan 2009.
